Went to try out the carnitas witch I had heard about and watched on YouTube. They did not disappoint. The best tasting carnitas I have had since living in the the U.S.A. they reminded me so much of the ones I have eaten in my hometown of Moroleon, Gto. Mexico. They are a bit pricey but well worth it. The staff was nice and friendly, we even got a free carnitas taco as a sample while we waited.
From out of town but this place was highly recommended by family and it did not disappoint. Very flavorful carnitas, had tacos and burritos and everything was delicious.
Carnitas here are excellent. We tried the pork shoulder and pork skin tacos. They give you a healthy portion. The pork shoulder is moist. The skin is decadent. I would recommend asking for a mixture of meat to get a nice balance. The game changer are the mulitas with a mixture of the cuts of meat. Definitely recommend. Prices are high ($4 per taco and $6 per mulita) but you get nice helpings and great quality for the food. The biggest challenge is finding parking as the location is in a residential area. Staff are friendly and helpful. A great place for great carnitas in east LA.
The mulitas were great. They served up some really cool Maillard-awesomeness courtesy of the crunchy cheese crust. The mixed meat was a delicious combination of textures. NETFLIX featured this place in July 2022 as one of the places to go in LA for street food. For $4/taco they are extremely generous with the portions. This is a authentic Mexican kind of taco comparable to the kind you’ll get in San Diego rather than the Tex-Mex kind which is always topped with sauces like mayo etc. They have pork shoulder, belly and skin tacos or you can have all 3 meats mixed into one. The texture of the meat is one of the best I’ve tried and very flavorful without having to put any extra sauces on it.
Went with my wife today, best carnitas we’ve had in our lives! 12/10 you could just eat the meat without salsa and it was so packed with rich flavor!
I tried the mixed tacos and was pleasantly surprised. The portions were incredibly generous, and two tacos were more than enough to satisfy my appetite. The carnitas were tender and flavorful, without being dry. The seasoning was spot on. If you're craving delicious carnitas tacos, I highly recommend giving this place a try.
All the employees are very Friendly and very happy. For being my first I was treated as if I was a regular customer who’s been eating here many years. Really down to earth employees they made me feel at home from the moment I was ordering my food, and waiting for my food. In the few minutes I waited for my food they gave me a free taco no other taqueria has done that while I waiting for my order. Besides their good vibes their food is also good.

Some of the best I’ve ever had. Mouth watering. I’d recommend “mixto,” which is a combination of the 3 types of pork on the menu. Order from the far left table and they’ll call out your number when the order is ready. Very organized, efficient and friendly, and delicious!
